The Feast of Ensor
A homage to the Belgium Artist James Ensor
This Artwork was made for Fête des Imbéciles' exhibition
The exhibition was a collection of drawings and paintings that drew on Robert's interest in literature, surrealism, food and feasting in art and Georgian prints.
the artworks featured in the show Rubbish explored the characters both real and fictional of bohemian Paris across history, from Godard to the Surrealists and beyond.
While the show explores Parisien literary and arts history, it also explores the thematic trope of the feast, from pagan ritual to the literary lunch.
